The Global Classroom is an innovative environmental education and conservation program. Founded in 1992, they are a grassroots, international non-profit organization run by a small core of dedicated volunteers. The projects directly benefit the earth as well as the communities in which they travel. With students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds they focus on:

  • Leading edge environmental education
  • Rain forest preservation and restoration
  • Developing international, cross-cultural understanding

Over the last decade the Global Classroom has introduced students to nature and conservation in India, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, Siberia, South Africa, Tanzania, the United States and Global Classroom has created a reserve in Monteverde, Costa Rica, preserving over 500 acres of rain forest.

The Marion Institute was founded in 1992 as a vehicle through which individuals may best support themselves and the community at large. By introducing innovative models for creating positive and profound change, Marion connects individuals to these programs encouraging personal empowerment and catalyzing effective transformation toward a more balanced and sustainable future.

Marion offers nine interest areas in which supports may get involved. They are: Cultural and Social Change, New Paradigms in Business, Living and Dying, Ecology, the Environment and Sustainable Living, Frontiers in Science, Health and Healing, Indigenous Insights, Tools for Personal Growth, and Transformational Philanthropy.
